VaudSentiers is a web application that invites tourists and residents to discover various places by following itineraries. I was in charge of the user experience and user interface design.
To identify users needs, I did a quantitative survey. Once I had analysed the results, I identified key features. These included :
- Searching for paths and places via a map or a search bar with filters.
- Starting navigation directly from the app.
- Sharing places and itineraries.
- Rating and commenting paths and itineraries.
I then created low-fidelity prototypes, tested them, and improved the design based on feedback.
After that, I made high-fidelity prototypes with colors and a graphic identity, using Google’s design system for consistency. I chose cheerful colors and used them to help users, with each search criteria having its own color.
